If your company is engaged in any form of manufacturing, maintenance, repair, overhaul or supply in the aviation industry, civilian or military, the standards below may be applicable to your company. If you should be certified or approved to the applicable standard your company will benefit internally (more efficient) and externally (customers will have more faith in your company's ability).

In addition, your customer may require that you are certified/approved to a particular standard or standards. 



AS/EN9100 - To assure customer satisfaction, aviation, space and defence organizations must produce, and continually improve, safe, reliable products that meet or exceed customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. This standard is specifically aimed at the aviation, space and defence manufacturing industry, but can also be used in other industry sectors where a quality management system with additional requirements over an ISO 9001 system is needed.

AS/EN9110 - This standard is specifically aimed at maintenance, repair and overhaul organisations in the aviation industry where additional requirements over ISO 9001 are needed.
AS/EN9120 - This standard is specifically aimed at stockist and distributor organisations in the aviation industry where additional requirements over ISO 9001 are required.


ISO9001 - All requirements of this standard are generic and are intended to be applicable to all organizations, regardless of type, size and product provided. As an absolute minimum your company should be certified to this standard.
FAA AC00-56A - This US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) advisory circular (AC) describes a system for the accreditation of civil aircraft parts distributors on the basis of voluntary industry oversight.


NADCAP - As an addition to AS/EN9100 certification, customers may require you to also hold National Aerospace & Defence Contractors Accreditation Programme (NADCAP) approval for certain special processes. 


ISO14001 - This standard specifies requirements for an environmental management system to enable an organisation to develop and implement a policy and objectives which take into account legal requirements and information about significant environmental aspects. It is intended to apply to all types and sizes of organization and to accommodate diverse geographical, cultural and social conditions.


OHSAS18001 - This specification is aimed at establishing an occupational health and safety management system that can be fully integrated with a current QMS and EMS.
